1. He abases, and he exalts.

낮추기도 하고 높이기도 하십니다.

2. “... History bears record that those who have exalted themselves have been abased, but the humble have been exalted.

역사를 통하여 우리는 자기를 높이는 자는 낮아졌고, 낮추는 자는 높아지는 것을 보아 왔습니다.

3. The abasing of haughty rulers exalted Jehovah’s own “splendid superiority.”

거만한 통치자들을 낮추는 일은 여호와 자신의 “찬란한 우월성”을 드높였다.

4. And they awoke to their obligation to exalt God’s personal name, Jehovah, above all other names.

그리고 그들은 하나님의 고유한 이름인 여호와를 그 외의 어떠한 이름보다도 드높여야 할 자기들의 의무를 지각하게 되었읍니다.

5. 22. (a) In view of Jesus’ exalted position, how should we view his commands?

8. By means of it, you exalt God’s great name and accept his absolute right and authority as Universal Sovereign.

12. But if Jesus were equal to God before he died and God later exalted him to a higher position, wouldn’t that put Jesus above God?

13. Since “the heavens are higher than the earth,” the abasement of exalted things is at times represented by their being “thrown down from heaven to earth.”

Having shared this warning, he counseled: “To become as God would wish us, we must accustom our minds to rejoice in seeing others prospered as ourselves; rejoice in seeing the cause of Zion exalted by whatsoever hands Providence may order; and have our bosoms closed against the entrance of envy when a weaker instrument than ourselves is called to greater honor; be content in magnifying a lesser office till called to a higher; be satisfied in doing small things and not claim the honor of doing great ones.”
